California's north-central area currently served by area code 209, including cities like Lodi, Merced, Modesto, Stockton or Turlock as well as the Yosemite National Park, will be assigned a new area code starting this year in November.
California uses 1+10 digit dialing for both local and toll calls so there will be no dialing plan changes when the new area code 350 is introduced on November 28, 2022.
