Beginning April 28, 2023, the southwestern portion of Ohio currently using area code 513 will get a second area code 283 overlaying the former. Among cities and towns currently within NPA's 513 borders are: Cincinnati, Hamilton, Miamiville, Moscow or Terrace Park.
Currently, residents of this area already dial 10 digits for all local calls.
Central office codes in the new NPA can be ordered beginning February 21, 2023 on the condition that all available 513 central office codes have been assigned.
